Hi, Chris.  Thank you for your help.  I tried to reinstall 
openoffice.org-common using Synaptic and 
via Terminal using sudo apt-get install.  Each time the 127 error code was 
returned.  I also have 
SuSE 11.1 installed in its own partition and a search of that partition cannot 
find the file. 
However, OpenOffice appears to work just fine in SuSE.  Any ideas?
