The sync only got an older version which as some known bugs which were fixed in 1.5+dfsg1-5. This for example makes rice_video usable again. Otherwise it would only have one working video plugin from previously three. As none of the video plugins are perfect it must be possible to change between two of them (the last one is non-free). No other packages are affected by this change and would only make this release more bug free.
