I am going to try reinstalling gnome-panel and tzdata (as I assume this is where it gets it's data) when I'm on my laptop a little later. If it does not get it's data from tzdata, is there a configuration file responsible for the location data which may have generated incorrectly? if so how might I reinstall it.
