Well, my system doesn't (always) freeze upon browsing Facebook, but it's true that memory allocation shoots through the roof, and CPU usage goes up to >90%. This happens also on Firefox 3.5. The strange thing is that neither memory allocation nor CPU usage are lowered even after closing Facebook (that is, if I manage to close it), so the system becomes pretty much unusable until I restart Firefox.
