Same problem here. Do you have this issue with a ATI Radeon 9600 or any R300 ATI card? I made some google/forums search and It seems to be a common problem with owners of these cards with opensource driver and AIGLX. I own a Radeon 9600 PRO and scrolling is really slow with firefox and other applications when under compiz/aiglx.
