Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
After running Karmic beta install, I get told that the system will now reboot. The CD ejects, but then the screen just keeps flashing - sometimes with the desktop background image, others just the LCD backlight coming on and off. Eventually, I get bored and turn it off manually. This behaviour does not repeat after a normal shutdown, and everything else appears to have been installed successfully. This happened after selecting install Ubuntu, rather than try Ubuntu from the boot prompt (if this makes a difference). Attached is my syslog from the install, unfortunately, it appears not to want to let me attach another file, so I can't attach the partman file. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: karmic -- Shutdown doesn't complete after Karmic install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/440545 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
