It was general PPP 2.6.31 regression: http://lkml.org/lkml/2009/9/17/383 http://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/48380/ http://www.google.ru/search?aq=f&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=ppp+regression+2.6.31
The Linus' patch from the second link took the hang issue away, but the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/400748 is still here, and it 2.6.31-11 seems to be worse in the terms of xl2tpd speed: download is about 3 times slower, as well as upload, although 2.6.31-10 was only 2 times slower. So, it's obvious: PPP is the main reason. -- xl2tpd drives whole system to hang up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/437613 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
