okay i have been through ubuntu 8.10 9.04 and 9.10 live cds i have done a minimal install added the nvidia drivers and tried a few 3d games all have resulted in a reboot the wierd thing is that i am sure i have played games on this machine previously in linux, and windows xp works perfectly.
