i got the same error here with another file. the file is created with openoffice, named "Übung.doc", then compressed in "test.zip" with ubuntu 9.04. then i sent it per mail to another computer and tried to decompress it with ubuntu 9.10.
when trying to open the file in the archive there is following error: caution: filename not matched: ÃÂ\?bung.doc when "locale" in the console told me i use "de_DE.UTF-8" the file was named "bung.doc (ungültige Kodierung)" and couldn´t be opened. directly after changing locales to "de...@euro" the error persisted. after some reboots i now can decompress the zip file. the file in the archive now can be extracted and be read. in another archive the files have wrong names but now can be read. so where´s the error? -- cant decompress files with ü https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/398316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
