Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
The GNOME Documentation Library says, "To modify the properties of a panel, right-click on a vacant space on the panel, then choose Properties.". Now that would be fine if you could guarantee that there is vacant space somewhere on a panel. :P If the panel's hide buttons and expand mode are both turned off, then even deleting items from the panel may not expose any vacant space! I feel that the panel properties ought to be accessible from each applet's context menu. Ubuntu 9.04.
