This happens because dk-disks mounts with the "shortname=lower" mount
option. That seems more like a design decision rather than a bug though:

/dev/sdg1 on /media/CAMERA type vfat
(rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=devkit,uid=1000,gid=1000,shortname=lower,dmask=0077,utf8=1,flush)

** Package changed: ubuntu => devicekit-disks (Ubuntu)

** Changed in: devicekit-disks (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided => Low

** Changed in: devicekit-disks (Ubuntu)
       Status: Invalid => New
