Public bug reported: Several attempts to install using the alternate installer x64 cd fails. I've tried it in VmWare as well as directly on the HW. Image/cd were checked and was deemed ok. Install seems to work, but reports a segmentation fault after reboot, or just hangs silently after checking the battery status. When trying to use the rescue option on the cd, the installer after a while reports that the cd is missing.
