Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synergy

This bug applies both to synergy and synergy+ (which is currently
missing from Ubuntu)

I have a keymap on my synergys system which allows me to switch between
latin and shavian alphabets using the capslock key (two different xkb
groups). This works beautifully on the server.

However, when focus is on a synergyc system, the unicode characters
don't get through. This may be a protocol issue.

Synergy is an unmaintained project, I have already submitted this to the
synergy+ bugtracker.
