Public bug reported: While doing a fresh install from 9.10 beta alternate media (to get an encrypted root installation), I did not let d-i detect the keyboard layout, and instead chose USA (not international). But upon installation, Gnome defaulted to "105-key intl" (as I noticed when RightAlt-Arrow wouldn't work, as it was saving RightAlt for the 3rd level modifier.
