Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Installing ubuntu-desktop on Xubuntu brings, as expected, gnome-power- manager. The problem is that when you're in an XFCE session, the xfce4-power- manager settings show as they were prior to install GNOME, but in reality gnome-power-manager's settings override xfce4-power-manager's ones. Example: resuming from suspend/hibernation locks screen and ask for your password, even if xfce4-power-manager is configured NOT to lock screen... but gnome-power-manager is configured to lock it! Now, why would gnome-power-manager interfere with an XFCE session? ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: xubuntu -- gnome-power-manager overrides xfce4-power-manager in XFCE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442906 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
