Hi I've got a very similar problem in Karmic Beta. I share two printers via cups, but although I can find them in the network I can't connect to them (tried from a jaunty-client). To add them on the client I choose "settings" in the printer-window and check the box "show printers shared by other systems", but I still can't print and if I verify the connection in the ipp-part of the add printer-assistant the error message "Access denied" appears. Printing on the server itself works fine. Please see the attached file about this access problem.
