Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

As of version 0.8~a~git.20091005t192303.1d28ad1-0ubuntu2, I can't no
longer connect to my home wireless network. I choose it from the list of
available networks in the tray icon, but it seems the icon gets stuck
after that. Clicking it seems to have no effect and the connection seems
not working.

I have also tried connecting to the network manually from the terminal,
but it's futile since I need the NetworkManager process to be not
running. Everytime I kill that process it keeps respawning.

Since the wireless network is my only means of getting to the Internet,
I'm forced to use a Live CD until this issue is solved.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
