I am using Karmic Beta with OO.org version 3.1.1 Build:9420 OOO310m19 The issue persists if I use the LANG as en_US.UTF-8 which is the default. However, if I use LANG=C and start OO.org Writer through
$ LANG=C oowriter Then the issue does not occur. Probably it is related to the language issue? I faced issues earlier with respect to the spellcheck wherein it'll not do the spellcheck when the LANG=en_IN, but when changed to en_US.UTF-8, all was fine.
