I am using Ubuntu Karmic Beta now, and my suspend/hibernate has not functioned properly since Intrepid. Intrepid it worked remarkably well both suspend and hibernate. With Jaunty the hibernate function still worked, the suspend function didnt work. I updated to Karmic Alpha 6 and it was still the same the hibernate function works but the suspend function didnt. Now Im on the Karmic Beta and I jsut put the computer into Hibernate and it hibernated but upon turning the computer back on it basically went thru the motions to seem as if it was resuming a hibernate but I was presented with the GDM login screen instead of the usual lock screen. I had to relogin and it seemed to reinitialize.
