Some notes to the report that has been made with the original cdrecord. While the OP did make a report that had a problem caused by wodim, the problem posted with cdrecord is different.
I would asume that the problem with cdrecord was caused by "hald" that interrupts CD writing make in -sao/-dao mode because hald contains a design bug for detecting a media change.
