Can confirm same bug using dell inspiron 2200 on broadcom BCM4318 chip
using b43-pci-bridge driver. Have greatly reduced problem by setting
mtu quite high '1532' (router set at 1432) and adding "options b43-pci-
bridge disable_hw_scan=1" to /etc/modprobe.conf. Problem seems worst
using wep security, was less noticable on wpa2 but network is shared
with a number of vista comps wich all refused to work with wpa2 so had
to switch back. Have tried altering beacon rate from router default
(100) but gets worse in both directions. Connection drops most often
when streaming media, playing flash and downloading. dmesg shows this is
definately a beacon problem. Am going to attemp to disable ipv6 but not
convinced this relates to the issue.
