Binary package hint: usplash
During shutdown, usplash stats too late: there is a 1 second delay
between Xorg stop and usplash start, in which I see lots of debug
messages. Unfortunately I can't read them, since 1 second is too short.
Another issue is that usplash is stopped too early, so I can see a
message like "rebooting now" or "halt" (I don't remember exactly the
correct message, but they are similar to these), and the cursor blinking
before the PC shuts down.
I suggest that usplash is started earlier before closing Xorg, and never
stopped, so the user will see it from the beginning to the very end of
the shutdown/reboot.
