Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.5
Upgraded to karmic beta, and got a new firefox 3.5. When I enter unicode symbols into the text box from the keyboard, they are not being entered (i.e. WIN+c in my layout pastes © in the terminal, but not in the browser editboxes/textareas). Copying the symbols from the terminal and pasting to the editboxes works okay (as you can see, I've managed to copy the © symbol) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Oct 8 12:32:01 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: firefox 3.5.3+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-12.39-generic SourcePackage: firefox-3.5 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-12-generic i686 ** Affects: firefox-3.5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Firefox 3.5 does not allow to type unicode characters https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446125 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
