Hi dnyaga

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Yes, acerhdf has been making way to much noise about nothing. However this has
already been fixed. See
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/435958 for more details.
I've seen from your attached CurrentDmesg.txt that you are using Linux version
2.6.31-11-generic. The newest kernel is 2.6.31-12-generic version 2.6.31-12.41.
You can get your kernel version by typing cat /proc/version_signature in a
console or looking it up in synaptics. The bug has also been fixed for version
2.6.31-11.38 of the 2.6.31-11 kernel.
You can find boot messages you see on screen also by typing dmesg in a console
or by looking at the dmesg log in System>Administratin>Log File Viewer.
Could you please upgrade your kernel and check your boot messages to verify
that the acerhdf message is indeed gone?

Thanks
