The games Glest and Chromium have broken audio when pulse is installed. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Ubuntu 9.10 beta 2. Install Chromium or Glest 3. Listen(possibly wait a long time or engage the games so they play many sounds simultaneously) 4. Hear line noise intermittently which interrupts audio playback ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: james 5827 F.... pulseaudio Card0.Amixer.info: Card hw:0 'Intel'/'HDA Intel at 0xf0500000 irq 22' Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC268' Components : 'HDA:10ec0268,1025011d,00100003 HDA:11c11040,1025011d,00100200' Controls : 23 Simple ctrls : 14 Date: Thu Oct 8 18:02:13 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: pulseaudio 1:0.9.18-0ubuntu3 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-11.38-generic SourcePackage: pulseaudio Uname: Linux 2.6.31-11-generic i686 UserAsoundrc: XsessionErrors: (gnome-settings-daemon:5858): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_propagate_error: assertion `src != NULL' failed (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:5958): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed (nautilus:5925): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Pulse audio breaks sound in games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
