I have the same problems, same Ubuntu/Gajim versions. I did however change the default python version to use, so /usr/bin/python is a link to python2.5. Here are the traces I get when launching Gajim from a terminal:
~ > gajim 2009-10-07 17:55:40,249 gajim.c.x.transports_nb: ERROR: Connection to 10.50.100.5 lost: Unexpected EOF [-1] gajim.py:3386: GtkWarning: gtk_accel_group_activate: assertion `GTK_IS_ACCEL_GROUP (accel_group)' failed gtk.main() ^C/usr/lib/python2.5/warnings.py:80: RuntimeWarning: tp_compare didn't return -1 or -2 for exception if registry.get(key): ^C^C^C^Z zsh: suspended gajim ~ ! kill -9 %% ~ > [1] + killed gajim ~ > gajim gajim.py:3386: GtkWarning: gtk_accel_group_activate: assertion `GTK_IS_ACCEL_GROUP (accel_group)' failed gtk.main() ^C/usr/lib/python2.5/warnings.py:80: RuntimeWarning: tp_compare didn't return -1 or -2 for exception if registry.get(key): ^C^C^Z zsh: suspended gajim ~ ! kill -9 %% ~ > [1] + killed gajim As you can see, in those 2 cases I had to kill it because the interface was frozen. -- Gajim sometimes behaves badly when closing a tab https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/382468 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
