Fresh kubuntu karmic installation (beta 1) + dist+upgrade

Installing libpam-openafs-kaserver and adding to /etc/pam.d/common-auth
at the top

# Allow Kaserver (Kerberos 4) logins when /etc/passwd has an entry for the user
auth    sufficient                      pam_afs.so try_first_pass ignore_root

It's impossible to login using krk4 account data.   In auth.log one can
find the reason:
