Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17
Hi I've just downloaded knot cd 1. I've tried to boot it but got this error message: [17179573.476000] ..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-ACPI. Booting again with kernel parameters noapic, nolapic did the trick, but I wasn't able to log into a virtual terminal not gnome (this I think is because of this bug: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source /xserver-xorg-driver-ati/+bug/22985 ) I've included dmesg from dapper up to date (2.6.15) since I can't log in properly. Please ask for any feedback I can provide.
