Ok, I understand the point, but it's not the expected behaviour. The best would be to make that distinction. So If I setup the dual head monitor so that the virtual screen resolution is greater than the maximum 3D resolution of the card, it's should notify the user about it at the same time it's asking update the virtual screen resolution automatically.
