Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

On Karmic Koala Netbook Remix Alpha 5 installed on an Asus EEE PC 701 I
cannot successfully make an internet connection using my 3G phone. I am
using the same connection parameters as I do with my Jaunty desktop:
Australia, Optus, APN=internet, *99#. Also I can successfully connect
through my Samsung Z230 phone using the Xandros linux that shipped with
EEE PC. My phone plugs into a USB port and is shown as Samsung CDMA in
the Mobile broadband dialog. Karmic is updated with latest updates. This
is a duplicate of bug 429973 but run with ubuntu-bug.
