In karmic, it's been dropped because someone claimed it's now handled by the asus- laptop driver - unfortunately I don't remember who made this claim, and I don't have the hardware to confirm it. Can someone verify that their ASUS laptop generates the 6b acpi event (*not* the 6a event), and that their hotkey toggling still works in Ubuntu 9.10 beta?
