Same with Xubuntu Edgy AMD K6-2/500 with onboard SiS530 AGP, 2.6.17-11-generic, also with gnome-core 1:2.14.2.1ubuntu1, and gnome-applets 2.16.1-0ubuntu4.
Happens every time try to Logout both from GNOME and XFCE. Ctrl-Alt-Bkspc doesn't help. Screen freezes with wallpaper, mouse frozen. Can't Ctrl-Alt-Fn to console.
