Pulseaudio + Wine (Spotify) still has random problems in Karmic beta (9.10) with all the updates applied as of today (14 oct 2009, 01:43am GMT-7). Audio from Wine occasionally makes clicking sounds, and sometimes the audio is completely garbled. Seems a random issue associated with changing songs in Spotify. As Neil pointed out above, a solution which sometimes works is restarting pulseaudio and/or Spotify. I have not experienced this in Ubuntu 9.04.
