The boot starts with the white Ubuntu logo on black screen, then it
stalls and it shows only a cursor in the top-left of the screen. It is a
problem since I upgraded from Jaunty, I forgot about it for a while
because I have not this problem while using the 2.6.31-02063101-generic
kernel from kernel-ppa (http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/).
I'm not sure if it has something to do with KMS or not honestly.
