Glom 1.3.9 (just released) contains example code, based on the
Debian/Ubuntu patches for gnome-system-tools, to install Postgres at
runtime, at startup, and fail if it cannot be installed.

If you choose to use that code, your patch will be small - it will just
remove some ifdefs and comment out a define.

I hope this is helpful. I don't like the user experience that it creates
but it's better than no Glom.
