This happens if the target program in an interpreted language does not actually exist any more. In particular, /usr/lib/hal/scripts/hal_lpadmin is long obsolete. I wonder why it even exists on your system? Can you please check if this file exists still? If so, please do
dpkg -S /usr/lib/hal/scripts/hal_lpadmin and copy&paste the output. I'll fix the crash anyway, but this looks like a very odd situation. ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged ** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Martin Pitt (pitti) ** Summary changed: - [karmic] apport-gtk crashed with KeyError in __getitem__() + apport-gtk crashed with KeyError in __getitem__() -- apport-gtk crashed with KeyError in __getitem__() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/424965 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
