By the time that I went to generate a massif.out report, the KDE session was up to its neck in swap page quicksand and I forgot the instruction about killing dbus-daemon first. I eventually did look up the instructions, and the report is attached. But along the way, valgrind reported that it had had a malfunction requiring a bug submission.
