I've got this problem as well. I have a usb partition with LUKS and in Jaunty cryptsetup 1.0.6 a window pops up asking for a password. In Karmik nothing happens and I have to mount it manually with mount.crypt (I seem to remember as I don't have my karmik machine in here now).
