Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: startupmanager

Changing from server kernel to generic kernel left the system
unbootable: without knowing how to access the boot menu, grub just
complained about not finding a file (system boots fine by pressing shift
and selecting a kernel from the menu).

It seems that removing the server kernel (which had been the default
before) left memtest as the default choice, and for some reason it
couldn't boot.

** Affects: startupmanager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
