Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pavucontrol
The Pulseaudio-server isn't working well while opening pavucontrol and having it opened.. I'm not sure whether it's caused by padevchooser or pulseaudio itself, but this happens, too, when I disconnect my bluetooth headset, but this would be another thing to report.. What I exspect is that pavucontrol should not suspend the sound system and work well with pulseaudio together like in versions before.. ( The updates today haven't fixed that problem.. ) $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch) Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy pulseaudio padevchooser pavucontrol pulseaudio: Installed: 1:0.9.19-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 1:0.9.19-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 1:0.9.19-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status padevchooser: Installed: 0.9.3-2ubuntu4 Candidate: 0.9.3-2ubuntu4 Version table: *** 0.9.3-2ubuntu4 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status pavucontrol: Installed: 0.9.8+git20090701-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 0.9.8+git20090701-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 0.9.8+git20090701-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Oct 19 13:47:05 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/padevchooser NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: padevchooser 0.9.3-2ubuntu4 ProcEnviron: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: padevchooser Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic x86_64 ** Affects: pavucontrol (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- pavucontrol causes a freeze of the pulseaudio-server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/455405 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
