Christopher, I didn't see you comment before posting my last one. My fix is for sbackup on Dapper Drake 6.06. I see that the sbackup for Edgy 6.10 running in Edgy doesn't work either. Right now I am successfully using sbackup_0.10.3 from Edgy in Dapper. I am guessing that the differences in Python between the the releases is what makes this work. As the developer said there are many bugs and they won't be fixed for now. This isn't an official Ubuntu supported package so I doubt they will fix it.
