I instrumented the /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice script in order to know how much time it is needs to guess the configuration.
It appears that guessing the environment variables requires 7 seconds during the cold start of: ----- /bin/dash /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice -writer ----- See attachement for the details.
