Public bug reported:

meld 1.1.4-0ubuntu1 is the package I have installed even though this bug report
tool claims that it does not exist in ubuntu.
Meld worked fine in Breezy.
In Edgy meld does not open when called from the gui via the applications menu
or from the command line.
I have removed and reinstalled with apt and with synaptic.
I have complete removed and reinstalled with synaptic, numerous times.
All the dependencies listed in synaptic are present on my system.
The ShellTools module listed in the command line output as missing is not
available in ubuntu binary repositories.
The output from the terminal when attempt to call meld from the command line is
pasted below;

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ meld
