Tracey: is this with Ubuntu 9.04? Does "Hardware Drivers" show anything? I will attach lshw -C network, in case that helps.
My steps were: 1. Install Ubuntu 9.04 i386 Desktop (even the live CD had working wireless, Hardware Drivers indicating"Broadcom STA wireless driver") 2.
