I tried the Kubuntu live CD Karmic RC today and I could not access an AP that has a hidden SSID. I can create a new connection and enter the connection information with the SSID and passphrase, but when I try to activate the connection nothing happens and in the list the applet shows always "never" as the last connection date. I did not see any entries in the system log, so I assume it never even tried to establish the connection. I created an apport file for offline use that I will attach.
