Public bug reported:

I recall that going to System-> Administration -> Network and then
selecting the "General" tab was the way to go to change my laptop's
hostname. But for some strange reason, now that I upgraded to Jaunty,
the "general" tab appears no more.

Has this option just "vanished" on Karmic?

I know that you can edit /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts and then you are
all set. But this is a no-go for non-tech/ubuntu/linux-savvy users: for
example my boss or my syster, my mother and so on..

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature. I am also doubtful if this
is specific to Ubuntu or to gnome.

Kind regards.

Noe.
