Public bug reported:

I have just upgraded from Ubuntu 9.04 to the latest version of 9.10, Karmic
Koala.
Instead of using "shutdown" at the end of a session, I use "hibernate."
I just discovered there is a fault in "hibernate" to report. My Acer Aspire
laptop model
is 5315/2153 to which I have increased RAM to 2 gb memory. I will now attempt
the following
kernal commands:
j...@john-laptop:~$ ubuntu-bug -p linux
Warning: The options -p/-P are deprecated, please do not use them. See
/usr/bin/ubuntu-bug --help
j...@john-laptop:~$ uname -a-a.log
uname: invalid option -- '-'
Try `uname --help' for more information.
j...@john-laptop:~$ uname-a> uname-a.log
uname-a: command not found
j...@john-laptop:~$ cat /proc/version_signature > version log
cat: log: No such file or directory
j...@john-laptop:~$ dmesg > dmesg.log
j...@john-laptop:~$ sudo lspci -vnvn > lspci-vnvn.log
[sudo] password for john:
j...@john-laptop:~$

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from
resuming properly.
