It appears _there actually is_ some wrong/bad consequences when activating capslock, especially when going in/out the rdesktop window. It then sometimes makes the capslock modifier apparently stuck (permanently active) in the GNOME environment which alter a lot of keyboard and mouse actions.
It's all suppositions (for now) because I didn't experienced that myself (it was some colleagues reporting it).
