The bios is up to date (v0804 - 2007/01/26). It crashed also with previous bios version (712 if i remember correctly). No crash with edgy kernel (2.6.17-10 and 11). I tried also the first feisty beta (2.6.19 i think) and i had similar behavior (kernel panic with MCFG area is not e820-reserved) and the same fix (acpi=off) was working.
