Since there are multiple snapshots possible per single LV origin, the UUID symlinks would become either non-deterministic or operate on a last-come-first-served basis. Having the symlink move around each time a snapshot is created is asking for trouble. Instead, UUID should always point to the "real" filesystem, since there is only one of those.
